Participation of YoupiLab in JEI-ESMER 2021

The Ecole Supérieure des Métiers des Energies Renouvelables (ESMER) Academy organized on July 21, 22 and 23, 2021, the first edition of the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Days, which took place in the conference room of its local located in Abomey-Calavi. The launch ceremony was attended by a delegation from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Benin.
JEI-ESMER 2021 aims to put the spotlight on innovative solutions offered by ESMER undergraduates to practically solve everyday problems. They also aim to facilitate the meeting between young engineers newly graduated from schools and business leaders as well as to open up avenues for partnerships with state actors in the research and innovation sector as well as those in the fields energies and renewable energies. Days during which student projects were presented to the general public, lectures-debates and training were given to students in order to facilitate their integration into the job market and into the world of entrepreneurship.
During the launching ceremony of these days, Félix EBO, CEO of ESMER affirmed that the efforts made by the school in recent years to train well-equipped professionals, able to offer tangible solutions to the daily problems of populations is a fair contribution to the ambition of the government of President Patrice Talon to make renewable energy sectors a pillar for the development of Benin.
Being a partner company of ESMER-ACADEMY, General Invasion Sarl, better known under the trade name YoupiLab is a Beninese technology company headquartered in Godomey Togoudo and whose mission is to make science and high technology much more accessible to all without any discrimination. It specializes in the design and manufacture of electronic systems, practical training in the design and manufacture of electronic systems, sale of electronic components and equipment for electronic laboratories, monitoring of electrical equipment, E-learning and the internet of connected objects.
YoupiLab was invited to participate in the JEI-ESMER 2021 through its CEO, Mr. Junior Cornelius NONFON, Hardware and Software Design Engineer, in a session to share entrepreneurial experiences with end-of-cycle students. During this session, he spoke about the difficulties encountered in his entrepreneurial career, the strategies he had to develop in order to overcome his difficulties and also the joys and sorrows encountered. He also spoke about the business idea, the beginnings of General Invasion in Ghana, its failures and successes. It was really a meeting of sharing during which the students asked relevant questions which he answered. He ended by urging students who want to embark on the path of entrepreneurship to redouble their efforts and be more comfortable in their choice. These days ended with the presentation of prizes to the most deserving students.
