YoupiLab designs its first robot to serve its customers

At YoupiLab, it’s not just about selling electronic components. We also support students in their defense projects (from conception to realisation). But not that! In a dynamic of continuous satisfaction and therefore customer loyalty, Youpilab launches the creation of its first humanoid robot for internal use. The YoupiWally. Yes! YouiLab’s on-site customers will soon have the opportunity to interact with the very first version of a humanoid robot designed and produced exclusively by the company’s teams. Indeed, this project has the advantage of implementing, first, the achievements and creativity of the firm’s trainees. They will thus have the opportunity to understand the manipulation of new software and tools (thus enriching their skills panel); to identify, for some, and apply, for others, the fundamentals, management methods... relevant for the implementation of a project.
What will the YoupiWally do?
YoupiWally in its first version is, basically, called to:
- Welcome customers via voicemail
- Invite customers to scan their invoice after purchase
- Scan customer invoices
- Offer them treats or sweets in return
In order to perform the above tasks, the YoupiWally must also, above all, distinguish a customer from a staff member. So it’s a big challenge for our interns. The team is made up of six interns. Currently, they are working on a sketch, by 3D modeling, of the robot and the representation of the diagram of the cases of use of the system (already available and see below). But the YoupiWally, in its ideal version, is a major project. It will therefore be entrusted to the responsibility of several generations of trainees.
