LEARNING ELECTRONICS FROM ZERO

In order to accompany enthusiasts of the world of electronics to take their first steps, a training was organized in the YoupiLab MakerSpace in Abomey-Calavi/Benin from 02 to 06 August 2022.
This training, which was not the first, had a staff of 08 participants from different training centers (IFRI, ESMER, and others). It took place in the presence of the Director of YoupiLab who took the lead for the effective organization of this training. The first day of the training was launched at 8:30 am by the Director General who placed a few opening words for the participants. These words were motivating and instructive for them. Note that the students actively participated in the training through a dynamic interaction during the practical sessions. One saw in their eyes the passion for the thing (they intervened with questions). The trainer also moderated the session from time to time to set the mood and make it interesting.
Without seeing the past hour, the first day of training, which was scheduled for 4 hours of time, ended around 3 pm. The second day saw an increase of 02 participants who were unavailable on the first day. In order to allow everyone to be at the same level of information, the trainer took care to re-explain everything from the beginning. It was 5 days of skills transfer, knowledge and interaction with the participants.
A mini kit was offered free of charge to all participants to allow them to apply once at home. This mini kit consisted of: (01) Protoboard; (20) Resistors; (04) Photoresistors; (30) Jumpers: (10) MM, (10) MF, (10) FF; (02) Buzzers; (40) LEDs of different colors: (10) green, (10) yellow, (10) red, (10) blue; (01) voltage regulator LM7805; (01) Battery 9v.
At the end of this 100% practical training with all available electronic equipment (like all other training that YoupiLab used to offer), the students were very satisfied to have studied these basic components in electronics. They were satisfied to be able to:
- Use measuring devices: voltmeter, ammeter, oscilloscope, etc.
- To use: a Protoboard, a veroboard, a soldering iron, a desoldering pump, a soldering machine ... ;
- To make a turn signal, a ring, a twilight switch;
- To build a traffic light, a security system;
- Use a 3 D printer.
